Art In Empty Stores

A lot of money has been spent on marketing Burien as a walkable destination for fine food and fun.

However, when people get here, they’re often greeted with empty store fronts, giving the main street a less-than-thriving ambience.

Art In Empty Stores is a project that aims to work with the landlords of these empty stores to place art from local artists in the windows, giving downtown Burien a more “thriving” feel.

So far, we’ve had good success along Burien’s 152nd Street.

If you know of an artist or landlord that would be interested in participating, or if you know of a retail property that could really use some art, get in contact with us:
